It would also save fabric on things like placemats because you wouldn't have to do the reverse-side -- you could just frame the edges with a lightweight bias-binding! Posted: 5:01 pm on September 29th

ibaquilter writes: I've watched the video and understand how to make the bias tape with the folds on both sides with the metal bias attachment (which I already own) however, I am wondering whether this machine can be adjusted to iron the French fold binding used on quilts - made from a straight of grain or bias continuous strip up to 8 or 9 yards long with seams and only ONE fold? It appears that the yardage may not fit on that little roller, but could it feed into the machine without the fabric being on a roller and the metal bias attachment removed?
I would love a chance to experiment with this tool and see what else it could do.

I am also self-taught, majored in art in school but wasn't interested in sewing until I became pregnant years ago and wanted new clothes. With my budget, decided making them myself was the way! A good friend helped with the first maternity dress. By the time I delivered another close friend asked for all of my sewing garments when SHE became pregnant!! Then, I knew I could sew well enough for others, this was over 36 years ago, and I'm still doing it!!

With my background in art sewing was an easy transistion. THREADS magazine has been instrumental over the years in the evolvement of my sewing skills, I love to sew, it is so relaxing. I still have and use all of my magazines for tips and ideas, but in addition, I absolutely LOVE the website.

Hope I'm one of the winners, sew on, sisters and brothers,
