Butterick 5750

In “Spring into Fashion” Threads issue 160 (April/May), Connie Crawford shares this season’s leading looks. Here, we’ve selected several patterns you can use to achieve these styles.

In her article, Connie explains that this season is filled with feminine, yet comfortable pieces. Leading colors include pink and tangerine while cotton, silk, and other natural fibers are the fabrics of choice.

Daywear

Dresses define daywear this season with pleats, tucks, and interesting gathers as the highlights.

A popular daywear pant style has a looser fit and interesting waistline details such as pleats or attached tie-belts. These pants are paired with loose, easy-wear jackets with a narrow lapel or no lapel at all.

    Hi Gail,
Why don't you try Vogue 8020, view A. If you shorten the hem a bit it would be very similar.
    Best of luck!
